Join a highly respected, community-focused critical access hospital where Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists are valued members of the care team and enjoy a rare level of professional autonomy. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced CRNAs seeking independent practice, excellent clinical support, and an outstanding quality of life in one of New England's most scenic regions.

Whether you're passionate about regional anesthesia, looking for a collaborative team culture, or seeking a lifestyle that prioritizes balance and outdoor recreation, this position offers the ideal blend of professional satisfaction and personal fulfillment.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Practice independently in a CRNA-only model with no anesthesiologists on staff

  • Diverse and engaging surgical caseload featuring:
    • Approximately 85% orthopedic procedures
    • Approximately 15% general surgery cases
  • Frequent utilization of regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks
  • Stable, supportive surgical team committed to delivering exceptional patient care
  • Flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance and long-term career sustainability
  • Shared call schedule currently 1:6, anticipated to improve to 1:8 as the team continues to grow
  • Opportunity to build strong relationships with surgeons, nursing staff, and hospital leadership in a close-knit clinical environment

Comprehensive Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Paid malpractice coverage
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution
  • Generous paid time off
  • CME support and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Active or eligible Vermont licensure
  • Minimum of three years of anesthesia experience preferred
  • Confidence practicing independently without direct physician supervision
  • Strong airway management and intubation skills
  • Experience performing regional anesthesia and nerve blocks
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Few CRNA opportunities offer this combination of autonomy, clinical variety, manageable call, and lifestyle. You'll enjoy the professional satisfaction of practicing independently while working within a supportive hospital culture that values teamwork, respect, and physician-CRNA collaboration.
