Licensed Massage Therapist – Fit Little ItalyFit Little Italy is looking for a skilled, personable, and motivated Massage Therapist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping clients feel and perform their best and who wants the opportunity to build a strong massage clientele within an established fitness and wellness community. Our members are active and health-focused, so experience with deep tissue, sports massage, and therapeutic bodywork is especially valuable.Estimated earning potential: $40-$75+ per service hour, including commission and potential gratuities.Therapists begin at a 40% commission split on massage sales.Once a therapist reaches $7,000 in massage sales in a single month, they permanently advance to a 50/50 commission split going forward.$17.75/hour applies to required non-client working hours.Additional earning potential through client gratuities.Responsibilities:Perform professional massage services including deep tissue, sports, Swedish, and other therapeutic modalities based on individual client needs.Meet with clients to understand their goals, concerns, medical history, areas of pain or tension, and relevant physical limitations.Develop individualized treatment plans using appropriate techniques, treatment areas, and frequency.Use appropriate massage techniques and pressure levels to relieve muscle tension, promote relaxation, and support overall wellness.Provide clients with appropriate self-care education and recommendations.Build and maintain a consistent book of massage clients within Fit.Develop strong relationships with members and encourage appropriate repeat bookings.Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming massage environment.Properly sanitize and prepare equipment and supplies between clients.Maintain client confidentiality and high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.Stay current on massage techniques and industry developments through continuing education.Work collaboratively with the Fit team to provide an exceptional member experience.Skills & Qualifications:Current California massage therapy certification/license, as applicable.Professional massage therapy experience.Deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage experience strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of massage techniques, anatomy, appropriate pressure, contraindications, and client safety.Ability to customize treatments based on individual client needs and goals.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong customer service skills.Professional, positive, dependable, and reliable.Comfortable building relationships and developing repeat clientele.Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.Commitment to continuing education and professional development.Ability to work collaboratively in a fitness and wellness environment.Ability to pass a background check.Compliance with applicable massage therapy laws, regulations, and health and safety requirements.Availability:We are looking for therapists with consistent availability who are interested in building a strong client base at Fit. Preferred massage availability:Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-8:00 PMSaturday: 9:00 AM-4:00 PMSunday: 9:00 AM-4:00 PMFull-time and part-time availability will be considered.
