Mike Bashore Agency | Rochester Hills, MI Part-Time Internship | Approximately 10 Hours Per Week Flexible Schedule | Minimum One-Semester Commitment About the Internship Mike Bashore Agency is looking for a creative, outgoing, entrepreneurial college student to join our team as a
Marketing & Business Development Intern .
This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants real experience building a local brand, creating social media content, developing business relationships, supporting community marketing, and learning how a successful small business grows.
You won't spend the semester making copies or watching from the sidelines. We want someone who can bring ideas, create content, represent our agency in the community, and take ownership of projects.
What You'll Do - Create engaging social media content, including short-form video
- Capture photos and video at agency, networking, and community events
- Help develop content that reflects our team, personality, and local brand
- Assist with Instagram, TikTok, and other social media initiatives
- Visit local businesses such as real estate offices, apartment communities, and auto dealerships to build relationships and deliver marketing materials
- Follow up with local business partners and help identify speaking and networking opportunities
- Coordinate customer life-event marketing for milestones such as new homes, marriages, new children, career changes, and retirement
- Help execute local events, sponsorships, and community marketing
- Use AI tools to improve content creation, marketing ideas, communication, and productivity
- Bring new marketing and business-development ideas to the team
Who We're Looking For This internship is ideal for a student interested in
marketing, entrepreneurship, sales, business development, or small-business leadership .
Strong candidates will be:
- Creative, outgoing, and comfortable meeting new people
- Confident appearing on camera
- Familiar with Canva and CapCut
- Up-to-date on Instagram, TikTok, and short-form content trends
- Highly comfortable using AI tools
- Able to take strong photos and video
- Self-directed, dependable, and organized
- Comfortable representing a professional business in the community
- Coachable and willing to bring new ideas to the table
Business-school students are preferred, but we are open to students from other programs with the right skills and interests.

Schedule & Internship Structure Approximately
10 hours per week , with flexibility around your class schedule.
Work will include a combination of:
- In-office projects
- Remote project work
- Local business outreach
- Community and networking events
Some evening or weekend availability may occasionally be needed for events.
A minimum
one-semester commitment is expected. The internship can continue across multiple semesters, and exceptional interns may have the opportunity to grow into a longer-term or career position with the agency.
Academic credit is available, and a project-based stipend may also be available depending on the internship structure. Approved mileage for community outreach and events will be reimbursed Requirements - Currently enrolled college student
